Each camper will leave the camp more confident in his ability and with a stronger knowledge of the game. Through individual and group instruction, each camper will be encouraged to try new things, while emphasizing the fundamental skills needed to take his game to the next level. Coach LeBlanc's coaching philosophy is "to provide a safe, fun, educational and challenging atmosphere for players in which they will grow in the game of lacrosse and in other areas of their life."

Southern York Summer League: May 29 - July 2, 2012: U9 thru U15. All games will be officiated by a certified PIAA official. In SYSL, we match ability levels and stress fundamentals, stick work and concepts, not slashing / hitting! Players can experiment with new positions if desired or continue to develop at their favorite position. No equipment will be supplied. Mouth pieces, shoulder and elbow pads are required for games. The number of participants will be limited to ensure participation for everyone. All players will receive a reversible SYSL jersey and should bring it to each session.

Summer Travel Teams 2012

BLACK DOG Lacrosse Black Dog Lacrosse was established to provide options to the York County lacrosse community. We offer players, and their families, the opportunity to experience many different aspects of “the fastest game on two feet”. We offer summer lacrosse travel teams (U11, U13, U15, JV HS and Varsity HS levels), fall travel teams, winter indoor lacrosse teams, and multiple trips to MLL / NCAA games (including pregame tailgating). We provide speed and agility training with certified trainers, off-season conditioning programs and “health and wellness” seminars with local experts. We also host clinics with MLL players and are working towards offering a “team camp” option. Our coaching staff brings college playing experience, high school level coaching experience and USLacrosse Level 1 and 2 certification to the table. We stress solid, fundamental lacrosse and a desire to build players that are prepared to be to be an essential part of “the team”.
It is the goal of the Black Dog coaching staff to see that all of the players have fun, improve as a player and enjoy the experiences associated with travel lacrosse. Hopefully they all continue to move forward as lacrosse players, but more importantly we hope that they are building memories, experiences and leadership lessons that they will carry with them throughout their life.

LEGACY Lacrosse: YORK LEGACY LACROSSE was established to offer highly competitive student athletes with an opportunity to be a part of a select program and to maximize their potential both on and off the field. We believe that being a member of a competitive team with an experienced tournament coaching staff will provide our members with chance at the right kind of college recruiting exposure. It also develops lifetime skills such as teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship and friendships. The quality and experience of our coaching staff covers all levels of lacrosse. We are building a quality program that alumni will hopefully come back to as coaches after gaining experience at the college level and want to share their knowledege to younger players so that they have a chance like they got through our LEGACY program. We uphold the traditions of lacrosse and try to instill in our players to give back to game as they grow into their adulthood. We encourage our players to help with their local youth programs by assisting with clinics, coaching and/or becoming officials for youth games. We want each of our individual players to create their own positive LEGACY within the sport of lacrosse themselves. York Legacy will offer training for youth through workshops, clinics and fall ball opportunity.
